On an Evening in Paris

get now why Paris is the city of love. On an evening in Paris everything is conducive to romance--the Eiffel Tower glittering, the waters of the Seine reflecting its surroundings, the Champ-Elysee with its lit up Arc de Triomphe and Roue de Paris ferris wheel. As the sun melts away and the pink streaked evening sky takes over, the entirety of Paris is made even more beautiful; but when day gives way to night the city becomes even more magical. The glittering Eiffel Tower lends an air of whimsy to the city while every building seems to have a spotlight shining on it--emphasizing its importance and beauty. My evening in Paris was simple and classic--sunset at the Louvre and Jardin des Tulleries, a stroll down Parisian streets and a picnic at night on a bench in front of the Eiffel Tower.

My entire life I have always heard people talk about Paris as the city of love and it wasn't until an evening in Paris that I understood why. Walking hand in hand along the Seine watching river boats float by, hearing music faintly playing from somewhere in the background, stopping for a chocolat chaud or vin rouge in a Parisian cafe with dimly lit candles and then staring at the Eiffel Tower glittering and signaling the beginning of another hour in Paris--it's easy to see why Paris is the city of love.
